World is again in the “Pirates” fever. Have seen the new movie also already and was pretty entertained. But what they would have done without masterpieces like “The Crimson Pirate” with the unforgettable and charismatic Burt Lancaster in the title role?
The mix of adventure and funny comedy worked already here and some of you may find in this classic a very well known sequence, that (oh wonder) appeared also in the Disney adventure. I just say “underwater boat”. 
Its one of my personal all time favourites and I can warmly recommend all Pirate movie fans, which haven t seen already this classic, to watch and enjoy.

Rock n Roll
Somebody gave me recently this movie. BITCH SLAP. First I thought, “Wtf, please no more porn in my free time, ”. But then it turned out to be a real unique piece of film, that I MUST recommend to anyone, who is a fan of Russ Meyer and Tarantino style elements. Because these you will find lots within. The sense of the story, I guess, is anyway secondary. Beside the absolute interesting shooting style are of course these gorgeous ladies the attraction of this movie.

One more exquisite movie recommendation: This time for everyone, who likes to laugh from his deepest stomache. “Le Boulet”! Great movie, great actors and so much to laugh in one of the most remarkable comedy adventure movies from France, that I have ever seen since the old Luis de Funes films.
That is one of my top favourite scenes of this film, where the bad guy (named “The Kurd”) tries to convince the kidnapped wife of one of the good guys, to have some hot adventure with him. But do not underestimate women with longer noses….you will never know, what you can expect!
Rock n Roll
Just found it on youtube, small minimovie from a Bond fan. Made by scenes from the movie “On her majesty s secret service”. For most of the real Bond Fans, like me, one of the most unique ones from this series. Always watchable again. Can recommend to anyone, who hasn t seen it yet.
Of course the main actor didn t convince finally by his appereance, but from the script one of the best Bond movies. Especially. because it is the only movie, where he felt belivable in love to someone. The Dating scene, combined with that fantastic soundtrack, is one of my favourites in this film. It doesn t need to be commented. It speaks for itself. Just inspiring… P-) Ride on…

As promised before for all the fans of FCS/P. Some serious “birds from the trees” sang today in my ears, that within the next week will happen the definite scheduling of the next productions in that matter. There is another major special production event scheduled for the end of the week too. I would suggest to watch out in the next days at Barbaras Blog for more information about that.
The whole week will be pretty interesting, because another 2 movies for Sexsense have to be made. One of these will have a “thematic”, that even me never has done before as a whole movie. When we bought the “props” for it, it was clear, that it will be really “interesting”, especially also for the actors. I will see, to catch some backstage photos for you, to get you some more insight. P-)
Finally I have here for you a kick ass trailer from a forthcoming cinema movie, that knocked my socks off immediately, when I have seen it for the first time a few days ago. Looks like, someone took a heart and combined classic grindhouse with Tarantino and Rodriguez elements to an interesting flick. The narrators voice style is just amazing and the main character reminded me almost a bit to my horse riding coach P-). I hope the movie is also worth watching, and not just the trailer. Enjoy and Rock on…

Rock n Roll
If you wanna see, that Rock n Roll can even save the world, then this masterpiece of japanese trash movie gives the finaly evidence. I didn t konw about “Wild Zero”, til one of my friends, a real Japan movie freak, led me to that extraordinary Rock n Roll flick.
Story is easy told in a few words. Aliens bombard earth with a meteorite, that turns people into Zombies, a Rock n Roll Band (a real one) with mysterious powers of Rock n Roll stand against it. Added by side characters of a young Band Fan, that saves in the end the girl of his dreams and a mafia mobster, who wants to kill the Band. All in all together with gory splatter and trashy Rock n Roll klischees in my opinon one of japans cult classics, that should become more known to wider public. Probably Tarantino still haven t seen it. Because I m sure, he would love it.

Recently found on youtube one of my favourite scenes from one of the milestone movies of comedy and slapstick: Kentucky Fried movie. Will never forget, when I have seen first time that unique piece of film. It was at one of our big annual High school parties. I took responsability for the “Video Room”, where it was shown different Videomovies while the evening, if people wanted to chill out after dancing in the big hall. At these times it was not usual, that all families had videorecorders already, so it was quite “cool”, to see a video movie.
I choose the titles, and one of it was Kentucky Fried movie. I had no idea about the content of this film before, so while it was running, the whole crowd loved it immediately. As the first part came, where nude titts were shown off, one of the supervising teachers watched by accident into the classroom. He thought, we were watching a porn movie and unplugged the TV immediately. For the next Party I had to fight, getting the permission for the video room again.
This scene here is also an “immortal” scene, that most of the people know already. For all of you, that still didn`t see the whole movie, I must recommend you really. So, just enjoy and wake up the “Big Jim” in you…
Rock `n Roll
Another rare example of innovative and outstanding moviemaking I must recommend you here. Its called “A dirty shame” from 2004, directed by extraordinary John Waters. I swear you, for all, that wanna laugh tears, you will be not disappointed. It contents some very famous names in it, a superb script about sexcrazed people in a small town of america with all its comic like klischees and good Rock n Roll Music. Marvelous. What an inspiration…!
Check it out and let it Roll…
There is no secret, that I am a kind of movie maniac since my childhood and watching good movies is one of the main things, where I can feed my inspiration. Here is a movie, another masterpiece of filmhistory, that catched my interest so much from the day, I have seen it the first time. Il Mercenario (origin. Italian Title, 1968). It was the music, that hypnotized me immediately so deep into the characters, that I had to record it immediately with my record player at that time.
Beside of the fact, that this is (for me personally) one of the best “Spaghetti Western” ever, I could learn so much from it again, how important music is, to support pictures, scenes and of course the characters. In this case, also in this special scene here, the music and the pictures are such a homogenic fusion, that makes each minute to watch a festival for eyes and ears, a perfect composition. The shooting styles (f.e. camera angles, soundeffects, zooms), which some of the directors of these italian western developed in the 60s, were so unique and (for that time) really progressive and fascinate me til today.
The director of “Il Mercenario”, Sergio Corbucci, did in my opinion one of his best movies with this and I can recommend it to anyone, who likes this genre. The only pitty is, its very hard to find, because there is still (in my knowledge) no official international DVD Realease out there, exept of an original italian.
