Followed yesterday at the winter olympics the luge competition with the great success for the latvian team. At this point I was reminded to one of my first movies, that I shot in Estonia and Latvia early 2001. But at that time was quite interesting adventure and experience to visit these 2 countries for the Videorama Production “Baltische Teenies” (Baltic Teens). The biggest adventure was at first to get my camerman over there, because he wanted to get into Estonia only with a provisional ID Card. At that time not a good idea. 
In Tallinn we were quite unlucky to find some models, but in Riga (Latvia) we could shoot some funny scenes and from the first moment I liked the atmosphere of the city. One of the biggest problems was the language, beside of the fact, that is was incredible cold there. I heard many languages in europe already, but latvian is the killer man, I tell you. Cheap hotels to find at that time was pretty hard, so we stayed at hardcore train station hotels with the fish and vodka nonstop imbiss around the corner, where you can find always someone to talk.
In Riga was not a porn scene located, so we improvised with some local help and could get some nice girls in front of our camera, which had some unique character. The native latvian girls are one of the most natural girls, I have ever met and it was just a pitty, that there was not too much possible for following shootings.
